Dovahkiin's Candelabra

A candelabra modelled in Autodesk Maya inspired by the video game, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim.

 

I modelled this for my Computer Graphics Imagery II class where we had to work in teams of three to model shared objects for our individual scenes. My group chose to base our scenes and objects on a blacksmith's forge, so I decided to make my forge look more medieval, and one of my first references was Skyrim. This particular candelabra doesn't actually exist in game, but it's based on a fan-made candelabra inspired by the game. My favorite part of making this model was texturing because the color and depth really make the model look realistic, or at least real enough to be used in game. Oddly enough, this wasn't one of the objects I shared, but I now realize that it probably should've been.
