The Winter Hammer
A Russian hammer modelled in Autodesk Maya that drew inspiration from the comic book character, The Winter Soldier.
I modelled and animated this for my Animation I class. The animation was supposed to be a one-for-one recreation of a scene from a movie, but the characters had to replaced with objects, and the environment as well to reflect the chosen objects. I chose one of the final scenes from Captain America: The Winter Soldier where the Winter Soldier battles Captain America on a flying aircraft carrier that is falling from the sky. I recreated the scene as a battle between a wrench and a hammer in a toolshed. Animating the scene was quite fun, but I definitely enjoyed creating the texture on the head of the hammer the most because I made it to resemble the pattern on the Winter Soldier's metal arm.
